People from Transylvania, Lugoj, central Romania, came in thousands to attend Iosif Constantin Dragan’s funeral ceremony.
Dragan was a billionaire who, according to the reports, had nearly $1.6 billion of wealth which made him the richest man in Romania. He was 91 years old when he passed away in Palma last week. He was mainly in to oil and gas businesses. He was close to the former dictator Nicolae Ceausescu and he was a supporter of Latin origin of Romanian people.
In 1989, after communism ended in Romania, he set up a university in Lugoj. He also started many newspapers, including a nationalist weekly magazine.
