Fish and Chip Shop – South East

We were approached by a couple who had experience running a fish and chip shop in the North of England to find them a good already trading chip shop for sale in any East coast resort in Mallorca.

They were coming over on holiday and wanted to combine business with pleasure.

We found them two options, both trading, one with a cafe combined.

They were able to view both businesses for sale and see them in operation during their stay. We suggested just taking a couple of days to watch each business during it’s trading hours and a few days further researching the area with our assistance.

They decided that the one with the attached cafe was the one for them, we negotiated an offer while they were here and a deposit was paid.

They returned to the UK and within a month they were back in Mallorca with their daughter and son in law who are now running the cafe part of the business with them.

A great success story, great family and decent fish and chips as well!

Rural Hotel – Manacor

We were tasked to find a rural hotel within easy driving distance or East coast resorts by two families wishing to pool their resources and start a new life in Mallorca.

We found two options of currently trading agroturismo hotels, one was ideal with the exception it was outside the budget, the other required some renovation work to be at its best.

We were able to offer assistance and an introduction to a bank to help with financing the additional amount on the first property, make suggestions as to how to increase the turnover and profit.

The second property we negotiated a substantial reduction and organised quotes for the refurbishment of the business so that the clients could make a good comparison of the two.

The families after careful consideration decided to go for the first hotel as the potential for growth that could be achieved outweighed the cost of the finance.

They have taken over the business now and the previous owner is assisting them until the end of the tourist season 2008.

British Bar – Magaluf

We recently worked with a husband and wife team from the UK who wanted to relocate to Mallorca, in the Magaluf area. They wanted a British Bar with all the usual trimmings, British Food, SKY TV, Football, Sunny Terrace.

They had a certain price point to achieve and wanted to be in place before the main season started.

We found a choice of three options for them and when they saw one they knew it was right. However there was already some interest in that bar.

We negotiated with the agency and were able to assist in completing a quick sale, which the other party was not able to achieve.

We also managed to get a reduction in the deposit as some of the fittings needed repairs and renewal.

The bar is now operating and doing well.

Estate Agent

We were approached by a UK couple with experience in estate agency in England but were disillusioned with the state of the UK housing market and economy.

They asked us if we could help to find an estate agency for sale in Mallorca.

We actually found three in different locations and also one web based one which could be run from anywhere on the island.

After careful consideration they chose the web based one as it allowed them freedom to move around the island, not tying them to any specific area because of office location.

The reduced cost of buying a web based business has helped them to keep more money in the bank for future expansion and website promotion.

We also helped by introducing them to a web designer who is currently working to get their site even better and higher in the search engines.
